Human Centered Design

Throughout my projects, I’ve always integrated Human-Centered Design principles. For most cosmetics and fragrances projects, we took a week to dive deep into research and gather customer insights. Each project included a design sprint, utilizing methods like qualitative research, secondary research, interviews, and focus groups.

My Role:

Conducted interviews | Lead and analyzed focus groups | Prototype | Evaluate | Testing | Primary and secondary research | 3D Modeling | Sketching

Results:

I successfully designed products that became top sellers throughout the 3 strategic brands: #TRUE fragrance, CY makeup line, Fashion 101, Sweet Chic. These among others

Empathy is the foundation. We did different approaches to the final consumer by observation, interviews focal groups and identified patterns and behaviors.

During an extensive group session we asked what? how? why?. This simple scaffolding allows you to move from concrete observations of a particular situation to the more abstract emotions and motives that are at play in that situation.

We did several brainstorming sessions to get new ideas with the team based on what we learned from observations, interviews and experiences

In this phase, we built a simple prototype of the idea to make it tangible and get something to test with the end-user.

In this step we get input from your end-user, to understand if the solution is on target or not.

Once we get the feedback from users, use that information to make necessary changes in the design. Keep iterating, testing, and integrating user feedback until the solution was complete. This took some rounds until we got the final product.

After months of work of research, sketches, 3DModeling, prototyping, and packaging design, #TRUE was launched.
